I consider myself to be a late practitioner of the Beaux Art movement of 100 years ago. This was an artistic period of great optimism and prolific sculptural output. In defining myself and my work, I have often said that I was born a century too late. This is not a case of failing to keep up with new trends in fine arts but a precision in knowing myself and an understanding of sentiments that I put into my work. If one’s artistic creation comes from a source deep in the psyche, which I believe, then there is a sort of helplessness affiliated with what I feel compelled to create. Although I have done many commissioned and non-commissioned art, it is not a job, but a creation of work that is sui generis.
